Being a photographer it is on a rare occasion that I step in front of the camera. I can make everyone feel comfortable, give them fun prompts, and get that genine laugh. When I step in front of the camera it feels like a three legged dog walking across a frozen lake. It just isn’t pretty. When Covid hit I didn’t get to shoot for about 6 weeks so I was getting a little bored. Each week I tried to get dressed and go outside to do some head shots to keep myself creative. At times it would take 30 images to get 1 or 2 that were decent. It wasn’t fun at first but after i got the hang out of it, it really wasn’t that bad and I looked forward to getting dressed and getting in front of the camera.
It doesn’t have to be perfect. I literally found a corner in my yard with good lighting, set my camera up on a tripod and used the 3 second self timer to grab a few images. You can even use your cell phone!
