Bigfork, MT
On my second day in Montana, I took a little six hour drive up to see my best friend Michaela. She is working at Flathead Lake Lodge for the summer as a wrangler. I stopped in the little town of Bigfork, Mt, where the ranch is located, and got a room in a cute little hotel for the night. When Michaela got off work we met up for supper. We went to a really cool Bar and Grill that overlooked Flathead Lake.
Once we finished up supper, Michaela dropped me off at the hotel and she headed on back to get a little sleep before our photoshoot in the morning.
Glacier National Park
After her photoshoot on the ranch we headed toward Kalispell to grab a quick bite to eat before heading into the park. I got to visit Glacier National Park last year, but let me tell you it never gets old!
Once in the park we headed up the Going to the Sun Road. It literally feels like you are driving into the sky. The views of Glacier are unlike anything I have ever seen. The only way I can describe it to people is that it looks like a picture was in real life. Even looking at it in real life it doesn’t seem real.
Logan’s Pass
As we got closer to the top at Logan’s Pass we started seeing snow. It didn’t seem real that it was the middle of summer and there was snow all around us. Logan’s Pass is the highest point in Glacier and it is also where a lot of the trail heads start. It is normally pretty crowded but we were pretty early in the season so it wasn’t as crowded as it usually is.
We hiked a little ways up Logan’s Pass to see some more of the snow.
If you ever get a chance to visit, please don’t hesitate. You will not regret it one bit!
